This Is The End
A movie review by Leah Delgado
Movie Info
During a big housewarming party thrown by James Franco, a heap of big stars engage in raucous antics. But suddenly an earthquake appears and blue beams start to take people up to heaven. James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson and Danny McBride hold up in Franco's house, eventually running out of food and water. They soon come to realise that they all need to do at least one good deed in order to go to heaven. A laugh-out-loud comedy horror, with an all star cast.

The Review
This horror comedy is hilariously good. The comedic horrors encountered within the film make you laugh so hard, you can't breathe. With an all star cast, who can complain? With a smart and funny script, amazing CGI and just a bizarre story, the film was a major success. All cast members star as fictional characters of themselves, set in Los Angeles at James Franco's new (and very expensive) technology en-fulled house. During a roaring and out of control party, an apocalypse breaks out and most of the party members die, including a few big stars, which was quite disappointing. Although some of these big stars died, the cast that did survive pulled it off to give us a funny experience, and to make the worst thing possible turn into one of the most funniest and craziest scenarios ever.
The film receive mostly positive reviews, which I definitely agree with. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have had ideas for a sequal, which is set at the movie premier of This Is The End, breaking out into an apocalypse. No real public announcement has been made.
I felt that this insane film was brilliantly funny, well scripted, well directed and of course, the cast's acting was exceptional. (All of them being big stars, what can you expect?) Some scenes are just so grotesque that they make you cringe, but in a good way. Because of the huge success in theaters, the film will be re-released in cinemas on September 6th 2013.
In Conclusion, the film is a massive success. All the actors did amazing, and it's one of the best films of 2013 so far. Bring on a sequal!
